Assalamualaikum and greetings to all.
Yes, its has been awhile since the last time i updated anything in my blog. I've been busy with planning the big day and other stuff as well.As of today, another 4 months before me and Mr.Fiance going to be Mr & Mrs.Alot of things going on. Alot of screaming, shouting, laughing, exciting things happens.
People say during this "crucial" time, many people even most of my family members say that this is the time where your really get to know your partners 'true' colours. In this case i think Mr. Fiance has seen my true colours. His still the same, calm, collective and patience man. He is still the same man now than he was 3 years ago.
Me and Mr. Fiance has been shopping for our barang - barang hantaran since December and we slowly adding them to the pile. Seldom times we had a fight about it. Its because is either he doesnt want alot of hantaran and i want to buy afew expensive stuff for him and he refuses. Well, they say getting married is a once in a lfetime thing. So i did plan to splash him since he NEVER bought anything expensive for himself.Buying him a nice Rayban, belt or anything which i feel that he will used everyday, but yet again he refuses. Geram nya hati jangan ditanya.Enough about that. Lets move on.
We decided that we're going to have 2 receptions. One from my side of the family which will be held right after akad nikah and the other reception would be at his hometown. Here;s the story about that issue.My parents kept on pushing me to call and asked my Father In law regarding the place and the exact date as in we need to arranged the homestay and most of us need to apply leave. It took me 2 months for his family to decided when to do it. BUT, they havent decide yet where the reception will be held.. In this issue, ive learn another thing about my dear and charming Mr.Fiance. HE LOVE DOING THING LAST MINUTES!. It drives me insane!!! I dont like doing things last minute and same goes with my family. We dont work well in high intense preasure. That is why i dont do things last minute. But him on the other hand things that we;re the ONLY people in Malaysia who is getting married this year. So after a heavy , intense conversation with him, he finally do it. Mr. Fiance is too calm for me at certain situation. Too calm until i get pissed off about it.But alhamdulillah, its all good.
Ive booked my official Photographer on November 2013 if im not mistaken. That particular time, they having this promotion where they provided 3 events ( Akad Nikah + Reception + Bertandang ) inclusive with transportation and accommodation RM 2,900. I did asked afew other friends of mine who's in the business as well. He mentioned that the price was reasonable.So ive decided to grab it. They also include afew more things in the packages. Will talk about them later.
As for now im abit puzzled on hiring a videographer or not.But we'll see about that then :)
Me and my mom have already ordered the wedding invitations card. Yea.. I know its too early but like i said, me and my family don't do things last minutes. Just to be on a save side.We have assigned a few color codes for detailing, cards, and dress code. For detailing i choose Turquoise and Gold and for the dress code for the ladies are metallic purple and blue. For my heroes, i choose metallic silver. Dress code for my parents, i choose metallic purple silver. Yea i know.. I'm a control freak. :)
Ive already bought all my family baju kurung and baju melayu for them.
My mom decided that she wants to go all out for the door gift. I don't know her terms of 'All Out' but the sake of my mom who is so excited , i decided to let her be. My mother is the type who doesn't like to go cheap, so i finally have a rough idea on what shes planed to do for the door gift.
After all that settled, its time for honeymoon. We never planned on going on a vacation for honeymoon knowing that we might be needing cash right after our wedding. But a few months before we got engaged, i kept on mentioning about how i love going to Langkawi for vacation and relax because i love the beach so much. He came up with the idea of going to Langkawi for honeymoon. Langkawi sound normal for a honeymoon and its also cheap but like i said i love Langkawi.Another point on the honeymoon issue is that Mr. Fiance has NEVER been on a plane or took a flight to anywhere and he mentioned that he never been to any vacation since he could remember. So, after long discussion about time, and most importantly finance, we decided to go for honeymoon only for 4 days.Book a flight and hotel, and we're all set. Expenses for both hotel and flight costs around RM 1,500.For first time like us especially me who used to have my dad paying for everything, RM 1,500 is considered as affordable. I don't know about the rest of you.
Alhamdulillah everything so far doing quiet well. We do had a slight fighting. Mostly about money. But i think we're not the only people who facing this problem. Most of other people whose getting married would face this kind of problem. But alhamdulillah tak ada sampai nak putus tunang. I have to thank Mr. Fiance for this. He has a been very patience for this past few months as i was constantly facing an anxiety attack.
Orang selalu mentioned about 'rezeki kahwin'. Well it did happen to us. In liquidity form and also in other forms. My parents did pitched in lot of money in our wedding. I dont know how i would repay them for what they have given to me. Another rezeki kahwin is that in the midst of arguing with Mr. Fiance about money, i received a sum of money from my boss. Feeling like give a hug and kiss but.. hahah :)
Another rezeki kahwin is.......... I cant really tell yet because i dont want to jinx it.. But what i can say is, instead of going to 1 honeymoon, me and Mr. Fiance will go for our second honeymoon with my family in late November this year. Which means, after our akad nikah and reception, we're going to Langkawi for first honeymoon and after the reception on his side, we're going for another honeymoon. But the second honeymoon would be something different and special. Will tell about them later.
